  MUSIC

MR & MRS DJ
MrMrsDJ.com

This husband and wife DJ team does more than play music, they make your reception a memorable party your guests will be talking about for years. Really. Their sound is incredible. They have dramatic lighting and personalities to match. If you're looking for a DJ who plays background music and can't understand why your guests won't dance to Kenny G, look elsewhere. If you want a team that will keep your party hopping and considers your reception a reflection of themselves and their business, seek Mr and Mrs DJ out immediately.

BOBBIE IZEMAN
Contact: iwed4u@aol.com
343 North Cassady Avenue
Columbus, Ohio 43209
(614) 253-4341

Bobbie's true strength is in her experience. My first wedding with Bobbie was held in 2002. Though an experienced photojournalist, I knew very little about wedding protocol and client expectation. Bobbie artfully orchestrated what was to be one of the largest events I have ever photographed, easily winning over every vendor at the event with her no-nonsense approach. Bobbie manages to run a tight ship for her clients while maintaining friendships with those responsible for making the event a success. I consider Bobbie a good friend and highly recommend her services.

VIDEO

TRUE VIDEO
Contact: Brian Caiazza
614-439-8623
http://truevideo.biz

I've found that working alongside a video service can at times be very challenging. Some services direct couples through their wedding in a way that interferes with the natural flow of events. This obviously conflicts with my goal to document, rather than coax. The folks at True Video and I work extremely well together, making them an easy referral. They are a very respectful, talented group of professionals. Highly recommended.

Jana's work is extraordinary. Recently, her work at a large reception literally caused guests to gasp when they entered the room. The bride's reaction was that of a client whose wedding day dreams had just been fully realized. Highly recommended.

I recenty photographed a wedding where Jay created a custom tuxedo for the groom It was fantastic! To top it off, the groom arrived without his cufflinks. Jay gave him his own. Grooms who want that custom fit need to schedule an appointment with Jay.

His energy and clear manner commands attention from wedding guests without being loud or obnoxious. He is generous with his time, taking requests and delivering on his promises. He is kind, warm and approachable.

DON BASHAM'S "LIVE MUSIC"
Contact: Don Basham
Phone: 740-964-9692 -or- 614-563-6006

I met Don at a wedding recently while he was singing, playing keyboard and horn almost simultaneously! No kidding! He blended perfectly into the background during a cocktail hour before dinner. Although his music was fun and easy on the ears, it was his friendly personality that stole the show!

BAGPIPER JAMES LLOYD DEAN

Contact: James LLoyd Dean
Phone: 614-395-8182
Voicemail: 614-646-4790

Nothing beats the sound of bagpipes playing as a Bride and Groom are introduced to their guests for the first time. The pipes bring a heightened awareness of the moment compelling all in attendance to take notice. James is a pleasant, professional piper who dresses the part, adding flare and elegance to the occasion.

CAKES

A PIECE OF CAKE
772 N. High St, Suite 104
Contact: Brian Hotopp
www.shortnorthpieceofcake.com

These guys are located in the same building as my gallery. Though I have to admit that I've never tasted one of their wedding cakes I have gained 5 pounds in the past 8 months grazing on their amazing pastries. Brian is extremely friendly and the staff always seems happy to be there. Wouldn't you be? Stop in during a hop or after lunch but don't look for me, I'm on a diet :)

CARA'S CAKES

cevan3@columbus.rr.com

Great-tasting cake at the best prices in town. Cara's cake prices start at $2.95 per slice for butter cream icing.

When a bride calls, Cara makes a tasting appointment for her and her fiancé. She presents two different types of cakes for them to taste. During the appointment, the bride usually brings pictures or has ideas on what she wants for cake design. Cara offers photographs of recent work to expertly help decide what might be best for her wedding.

On wedding day, Cara delivers the cake and, for a small fee, will also arrange flowers on the cake if the bride wishes.

Additionally Cara does a one year anniversary cake free of charge if the bride calls two weeks prior to the anniversary. (Beats tasting a freezer burned cake!)
